2012 Race Report: Nearly 300 racers took part in this past weekends sold out Perseverance Trail Run on October 28th.

The rain stopped just in time and the Cumberland trails held freshly filled puddles making the perfect conditions for a fall trail race! The race was a huge success judged on the ear to ear grins and a sold out event. The goal of the Perseverance Trail Run is to raise funds for the Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS). Last year $5000 was raised for the CCFS and race organizers are looking forward to making another significant donation this year. The CCFS is a local society working toward purchasing and protecting additional forest lands in the Cumberland area for recreation now and into the future. Click here to read the full race report.

2011 Race Report: Mother nature was kind to the 230 trail racers who tackled the Perseverance Trail Run this past Sunday, October 30th.

The race was a huge success with $5000.00 going directly to the Cumberland Community Forest Society to assist them in working towards their goal of purchasing and protecting additional forest lands in the Cumberland area. The competition on the new 10k course was fierce with 155 racers and many competitive runners toeing the start line. Racers came from all over Vancouver Island for this years event and there were some great battles on the challenging 10k mountain run... Click here to read the full race report.

2010 Race Report: Mother Nature was kind to the 214 trail racers who tackled the Perseverance Trail Run this past Sunday, October 31st.

The sun was shining in a blue sky and the trails held freshly filled puddles from recent rains making the perfect conditions for a fall trail race! The race was a huge success with all proceeds going directly to the Cumberland Community Forest Society to assist them in working towards their goal of purchasing and protecting additional forest lands in the Cumberland area...

2009 Race report: The rain didn't scare 169 racers and 50 volunteers away from the 5th annual Perseverance Trail Run in Cumberland on Sunday.

The skies were grey and low but the energy was bright and high as racers for the 10K and 3K courses made their way to the start line. Once the horn blew the racers seemed to forget about the rain as they were forced to focused on navigating the classic rooty, muddy, twisty and very scenic trails of the Cumberland Forest...
